AFCAT Eligibity

For Flying Branch

Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics & secured min 50% and

Graduation in any discipline with minimum 60% marks or B.E/B. Tech with minimum 60% marks. OR
Candidates must have secured 60% marks in Section A & B examination of Aeronautical Society of India or Associate Membership of Institute Engineers (India).

For Ground Duty (Technical)

Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics & secured min 50% and

A candidate must have completed 4 years graduation or integration Post graduation in Engineering/Technology with minimum 60% marks OR
A candidate must obtain 60% marks in Section A & B examination of Aeronautical Society of India or Associate Membership of Institute Engineers (India).

Ground Duty (Non-Technical)

Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Arts / Commerce / Science & secured min 50% and

Candidates must have graduation / post graduation level degree any discipline with minimum 60% marks OR
60% marks in Section A & B examination of Aeronautical Society of India or Associate Membership of Institute Engineers (India).

Note: The applicant must be mentally and physically fit because physically challenged persons are not eligible for AFCAT exam.

General Awareness: History, Geography, Sports, Civics, Environment, Defence, Basic Sciences, Culture, Art, Politics, Current Affairs, etc.
Verbal Ability in English: English Comprehension, Vocabulary, Error Finding, Synonyms, Antonyms, Fill in the blanks, Jumbled Sentences, rearrangement of sentences etc.
Numerical Ability: Number Series, Simplification, Average, Ratio & Proportion, Profit & Loss, Simple Interest, Decimal Fraction, Percentage etc.
Reasoning and Military Aptitude Test: Verbal Skills and Spatial Ability.
