First of all it is necessary to know that who are eligible for cds. Some students are graduating with science or some of with commerce or some of with arts. No matter, what’re your subjects in graduation or you have done graduation thru regular or correspondence course. As cds notification says that graduate in any discipline are eligible for writing cds exam. Only thing needed is the pass in graduation.

Note: While in the final year or semester of graduation exam, you can apply for cds exam.

Next come to age criteria. This is the very important thing you need to take care of. Because, the chances of writing the cds exam only depend on your age. If your age falls between the dates which was announced in cds notification every time, then only you can apply this exam. The starting age of applying cds exam is 20 years. So if you are thing to build your carrer after graduation in defence then you must start applying for cds exam while you are approaching the age of 20.

Next important thing that you must match i.e. your physical & medical standard. To enter in defence, there are certain physical & medical standard mentioned clearly in cds notification. If you don’t fulfill the cds physical & medical standard then you should not apply for cds exam as it will be total waste of your time & money. After the clearing cds written exam, next you have to compete the ssb interview & medical fitness test.
